Halfass Kustoms 1935 Dodge Coupe Project: Cutting The Roof Off, AGAIN, To Make It Cooler

With so much going on, everywhere on this car, it is easy to get distracted and go in multiple directions, but the roof still needs the love right now and so Brent is going to starting filling it in and then doing more work on the doors.

The original plan was to build a chopped 1935 Dodge 3 window coupe out of a sedan body that had been cut up. It was someone else’s abandoned project and boy did it look daunting, even for someone like Brent. So he decided that a new donor would be in order and that he needed to find something else he could make into his dream 3 window. You are going to want to check this out.

Brent from Halfass Kustoms is one of my favorite dudes on YouTube. He’s not fancy, he’s a bit brutish sometimes, but man he gets projects done in record time and is so inspiring to anyone who needs a push to get out on the shop and do some work. He works on his stuff multiple nights a week and so he really makes headway each and every week. I’ve been following his 1935 Dodge Coupe project for several weeks, and now it is time to share it with you. This one is a rough ride, and a roller coaster of emotions, but you are going to want to see this.

If this project doesn’t encourage you to go out and cut stuff up, then nothing will.

He’s starting with someone else’s abandoned 1935 Dodge Coupe project. But it wasn’t a coupe to start with. This was a car that someone cut up and made out of a 4 door car. And it’s rough. I mean rough rough rough. But Brent thinks he can save it.

Watch and let us know what you think of Halfass Kustoms’ newest project. We’ll have more coming soon.

Video Description:

Part 13 of our 1935 Dodge coupe build. In this video we gather a roof skin from my front yard junk yard, after we try to wheel a trunk lid for the Dodge coupe. After we cut the roof off again to fit it with an old Pontiac roof to better profile the roof.
