Drag Action Photos: The PDRA Mid-Atlantic Showdown At Virginia Motorsports Park

(Photos by David Whealon) – It was a competitive weekend of PDRA drag racing action at Virginia Motorsports Park last weekend when the series fired off the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Showdown at VMP. Our man David Whealon manned the wall and caught some great action you are going to see below.

With Pro Nitrous, Pro Boost, Extreme Pro Stock, Outlawy 632 and more on hand, you know that some awesome racing was happening. The car counts were strong and the competition was unrelenting throughout eliminations in all categories. The physical surface at VMP is astonishingly good and the crew kept it great all weekend long.

Army trucks, we love them. Why? Well for the same reason we love functional hot rods that are lacking in amenities but are heavy in ass kicking ability. No matter the country of origin you are typically not going to find a lot of cushy stuff in an army truck, especially a large one.
