Iron Trap’s Junkyard Hot Rod Rebuild: AMAZING Junkyard Hot Rod Interior Transformation!!!

Interior work is one of those things that, like paint, intimidates folks and they are afraid of doing it themselves. This is why so many folks never finish the inside of their hot rods. If restoration parts are available, then putting them in or replacing what was there, can be a great way to refresh the inside of your ride. But the other option is to have a local upholstery shop redo the seats, door panels, etc and then you install them yourself. This saves a lot of money over having them do the install as well, so it might be the smart way to get the most for your money.

In this video from Iron Trap, Matt and Steve install new rubber floors, insulation, and more before putting their newly covered seats back in along with all new door panels front and rear. This is a real transformation and I love the color combo with this car. They hate the fact that this 1939 Ford is so rough on the outside, with regards to paint, but the truth is I love this thing. With the nice interior in it, and a good running combo under the hood, this is a fun driver that I’d road trip anywhere.

The 1939 Ford Forgotten Hot Rod’s retro plaid seat covers were hated by just about everyone, but were a quick solution to get the seats “useable”. Matt decided this winter to pull the seats out and get a nice full interior made. Our local friends from Rehab Upholstery offered their services to transform the 39’s interior. The new seats and door cards really pop and really make the car stand out. NMCA All-American Nationals Photo Coverage: Muscle Cars And More On Track In Norwalk

Check out our coverage from the recently completed NMCA All-American Nationals held at America’s Dragstrip, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Along with the normal complement of NMCA classes there were also separate Cobra Jet Mustang and COPO Camaro shoot outs, featuring all the latest factory race cars and vintage examples from the golden age muscle era. A late model Hemi class was also contested and was stacked with the latest Drag Pak Challengers and SRT offerings. Another highlight for me was the F.A.S.T. group. F.A.S.T means Factory Appearing Stock Tire, the quick rundown on these cars is big inch engines that look concours correct wrapped in perfectly restored peak era muscle cars going mid 9’s on a tiny bias-ply tire.
