This Hill Climb Racing Video From Scotland Will Blow Your Mind – Incredible Speed and Skill At The Donue Hill Climb

We’ve always loved looking at hill climb footage over the years but this right here makes the majority of the guys we have showed in the past look like they were cruising barcaloungers through the English countryside. Here, you will see a camera mounted on the top of an open wheeled race car attacking an event called the Doune Hill Climb in Scotland. The driver, who may or may not be superhuman is a dude named Jos Goodyear (and if we were the tire company we’d be on the phone with this cat NOW) and to say that he is both fearless and exceptionally talented is selling him way short. Hill climb racing has been a staple of automotive competition in Europe for a long, long time. There’s limited hill climb action here in the USA with events that range from the huge like Pikes Peak and the Mount Washington hill climb to vintage events that are far less intense than what you will see here. NMCA All-American Nationals Photo Coverage: Muscle Cars And More On Track In Norwalk

(Words and Photos by Joe Grippo) Ever been to an NMCA Event? If you haven’t, you should. Check out our coverage from the recently completed NMCA All-American Nationals held at America’s Dragstrip, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Along with the normal complement of NMCA classes there were also separate Cobra Jet Mustang and COPO Camaro shoot outs, featuring all the latest factory race cars and vintage examples from the golden age muscle era. A late model Hemi class was also contested and was stacked with the latest Drag Pak Challengers and SRT offerings. Another highlight for me was the F.A.S.T. group. F.A.S.T means Factory Appearing Stock Tire, the quick rundown on these cars is big inch engines that look concours correct wrapped in perfectly restored peak era muscle cars going mid 9’s on a tiny bias-ply tire. It’s Memorial Day today, and I hope that this year it holds a little more meaning and that we all realize a little more appreciation is in order. Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor those people who gave their lives in order to defend our way of life here in America. It is important to remember that this is a different holiday than Veteran’s Day and that this distinction has perhaps never been more important to realize. As the world watches teachers, accountants, plumbers, software developers, and other regular folks in Ukraine defending their country, we are reminded that throughout our own history there have been many many people who have helped to defend it, many with and many without a military uniform.
