BAMA OUTLAWS – Racing Action From The Radial Outlaws At Alabama International Dragway

(Photos by Damon Steinke) The Radial Outlaws Racing Series visited Alabama International Dragway this past weekend and radial racers from all over the country came to prove who had the horsepower and the tuneup to put themselves in the winner’s circle. With five classes of competition, including Radial vs The World, Pro 275, Limited Drag Radial, Ultra Street, and X275, all of which paid more than $40,000 to the winners, you know the heavy hitters were on site. And with $130,000 for the Series Champions to take home at the end of the year, every point counts.

This was the third of six races this season in the Radial Outlaws Racing Series and the competition is only getting fiercer.

Scott Tidwell and Jason Collins – Pro 275

Jamie Hancock – Limited Drag Radial

Kyla Hubbard – Ultra Street *This is Kyla’s first win in Ultra Street in her bad ass Monte Carlo, so we’ll see if this taste of winning propels to her to more wins this year.

DJ McCain – X275

Helmet Sale: Simpson And Racequip Are On Sale Now! Quit Using A Crap Helmet.

I just got back from Holley’s LSFest West in Las Vegas and the number of people who are racing, or trying to race, wearing crappy helmets, or those that are NOT designed to be used in a car or truck, still blows me away. It gets better all the time, but even so, we need more people to do the right thing for themselves and buy a good helmet. I remember when I got my first helmet that was actually bought for me to use while racing cars. It was awesome. It fit better than anything I’d ever borrowed, and it was mine. I loved it. I have had several helmets since, but regardless of my budget, I’ve always bought a helmet that is specifically made for racing cars and is certified for doing so.
