This McCulloch Promotional Film From 1961 Is Awesome And Stars The Late Don Knots!

Everything about this video is awesome. From the sound of the angry McCulloch racing engines, the goofy coolness of Don Knots, the race footage shown, and the fact that it was made to help McCulloch hawk their short lived line of racing karts. Long known as an engine company McCulloch decided to offer complete karts and the experiment was a flop, leading them to go back and concentrate on the engine side of the business. Of course McCulloch wasn’t just building engines for karts, they were one of the largest small engines companies in the world and their founder Robert Paxton McCulloch is a gearhead legend.

Yes, this was the same McCulloch that build the centrifugal blowers that appeared on lots of production cars in the 1960s. Yes, this is the same guy who founded Paxton superchargers years later, and yes, this company built more stuff than you can possibly imagine.

Check out the coolness below!
