2023 Pittsburgh World of Wheels Photo Coverage: Our Photos From This Iconic Show Start Here

(Photos by Mike Broooks) The World of Wheels Car Shows have been around for decades and are often the only connection to hot rods and racing, outside of someone’s garage, that goes on during the winter indoor car show season. Their shows are big events, featuring bitchin rides, and it has become tradition for us to share photos from their shows with all of you, thanks to some great contributors like Mike Brooks. This particular gallery is from the 2023 Pittsburgh World of Wheels and we can’t thank Mike enough for sharing all the cool stuff that he found.

Pittsburgh is a city of great tradition. The Penguins, the Pirates, and of course the Steelers are all institutions that have helped to cement “The Burgh” on the national stage. This has also been a city that has loved cars and hot rods as well. The whole state of PA is a hot bed of racing on all different kinds of tracks and continues to be today. The racing culture and the hot rod culture were 100% on display at the  2021 Pittsburgh World of Wheels and we’re sure glad that Mike Brooks was there with his camera.

Helmet Sale: Simpson And Racequip Are On Sale Now! Quit Using A Crap Helmet.

I just got back from Holley’s LSFest West in Las Vegas and the number of people who are racing, or trying to race, wearing crappy helmets, or those that are NOT designed to be used in a car or truck, still blows me away. It gets better all the time, but even so, we need more people to do the right thing for themselves and buy a good helmet. I remember when I got my first helmet that was actually bought for me to use while racing cars. It was awesome. It fit better than anything I’d ever borrowed, and it was mine. I loved it. I have had several helmets since, but regardless of my budget, I’ve always bought a helmet that is specifically made for racing cars and is certified for doing so. Helmets can be expensive, but they don’t have to be. With this new sale coming out of Holley, their Simpson and Racequip brands are both having helmet sales.
