Pro Touring Triumph GT6 Build: The Rust Needs Taken Care Of, And Then This Thing Is Going To Start Getting Good.

In the latest episodes of this build, the plans get explained, the parts are introduced, and the engine starts going in.

So this project here has been going on for several years, and we kind of dig it, mostly because it is going from restomod to pro-touring machine and we dig the direction. To bring everyone up to speed we decided we are going to throw a bunch of videos at you in order to get caught up closer to where the real fun is beginning. We could have started with the real custom parts, but figured you would want the history and might enjoy all the body repair going on with this one. We dig it and hope you will too.

This is a Triumph GT6, which I think is a super cool-looking little car that’s sort of like a Datsun Z car and the like. The lines are classic, the size is great for having some fun, and it is definitely not something you see every day.

Today on Project GT6, we modify our LS4’s intake, remove the body, break down the old drivetrain, and go over some more BIG decisions we need to make! So far, we have revealed that we are swapping out our old Triumph drivetrain for a 5.3L aluminum LS4 V8 from a 2006 Pontiac GXP, a 2004 Mustang V6 T5 and will be connecting them with a bellhousing from a 1980s Jeep with the AMC 2.5L engine. Today we’ll go over the new differential we will be using and why we’re using it!

Army trucks, we love them. Why? Well for the same reason we love functional hot rods that are lacking in amenities but are heavy in ass kicking ability.
