Merry Christmas From BangShift.com – Have A Great Day!

We are going to be spending this day with our loved ones and we encourage you to do the same…today is the day to eat, drink, be merry, and maybe have just one more drink as the kids play with their new toys and the adults relax and watch the fun. We hope that several boxes under the tree had your name on the tag, and were filled with what you were hoping for (you did ask Santa for car parts and that new tool set, didn’t you?) and hey…if there was a very merry set of tire marks out front of the house, just blame it on Saint Nick…that old man is in a hurry anyways!

A special shout-out goes out to those in the Armed Services who are currently spending the holiday with their “second family” and not at home. I’ve been there and done it myself, and both Brian and Chad understand what that entails. Be sure to make that phone call, FaceTime or whatever you can do, and celebrate with the folks to your left and right…it might not be home, but it’s a good second place.

Helmet Sale: Simpson And Racequip Are On Sale Now! Quit Using A Crap Helmet.

I just got back from Holley’s LSFest West in Las Vegas and the number of people who are racing, or trying to race, wearing crappy helmets, or those that are NOT designed to be used in a car or truck, still blows me away. It gets better all the time, but even so, we need more people to do the right thing for themselves and buy a good helmet. I remember when I got my first helmet that was actually bought for me to use while racing cars. It was awesome. It fit better than anything I’d ever borrowed, and it was mine. I loved it. I have had several helmets since, but regardless of my budget, I’ve always bought a helmet that is specifically made for racing cars and is certified for doing so.
