We’re all about safety around here, and I’m a HUGE fan of head restraint systems like the NecksGen, HANS, and Simpson’s Hybrid system, just to name a few. It doesn’t matter which system you choose, it just matters that you pick one and use it so that you can be as safe as possible in a race car. I know several drivers that use the Simpson Hybrid Frontal Head Restraint, and they love them, but choosing any head and neck restraint system requires proper sizing to be as effective as possible. In this video, you’ll see how to measure yourself for one so that it works the best and is most comfortable as well.

Helmet Sale: Simpson And Racequip Are On Sale Now! Quit Using A Crap Helmet.

I just got back from Holley’s LSFest West in Las Vegas and the number of people who are racing, or trying to race, wearing crappy helmets, or those that are NOT designed to be used in a car or truck, still blows me away. It gets better all the time, but even so, we need more people to do the right thing for themselves and buy a good helmet. I remember when I got my first helmet that was actually bought for me to use while racing cars. It was awesome. It fit better than anything I’d ever borrowed, and it was mine. I loved it.
