Barn Find 1958 Plymouth Project: It’s Time For The Engine Swap

With the stock engine junk, and the replacement all sorted and set, it is time for the engine swap to begin! Yep, this cool old 4-eyed Plymouth is going to get a new lease on life and will be back to running and driving before we know it. But first, the engine needs to find its way into its new home.

I’m not a Moparsman… I’m a GM guy. Chevrolet in particular. But I love the cars and trucks that came out in 1958. Seriously, 1958 had awesome cars and trucks from just about every manufacturer. That’s a long way of saying that even though I’m not a big Mopar guy, I totally dig this 1958 Plymouth barn find. I mean barn finds are awesome anyway, but just look at the nose on this bad boy! I’m not a big fins fan, but the back of this bad boy isn’t bad looking either.

Dylan found a really cool one here, but it could be A LOT of work to make it run right. Will it run at all? We’re all about to find out.

Heck yes it’s V8 time! There’s been a whole lot leading up to this moment, and we’re finally able to make headway into new engine territory by welding in our conversion mounts… that I most certainly found in the floor of a barn. Sure it’ll work, right? Stick around to the end of the video to see if everything fits!
