Watch A Vintage Dodge Big Rig Make A Full Pull With Detroit Diesel Power! Slow-Mo Wheels Up Action!

There are not many old Dodge big rigs left on the road. They were pretty limited in quantity to start with an when you take into consideration time and abuse, you can see why their numbers are so small. Thankfully, at least one has been restored and converted into a big rig puller. This truck, a late 1960s model (we think) is powered by a Detroit Diesel engine. To us it sounds like an 8V92, but we’re guessing. That famous two stroke wail is present and accounted for as the truck slowly claws at the Earth and pulls the sled virtually all the way off the end of the course. We dig looking at it with the front end a couple fee in the air and both rear axles continue to be planted on the ground.

The truck is called the General Lee because what else would you call an old Dodge big rig pulling truck! It appears to have been fully restored with a detailed looking frame, nice Alcoa wheels, the big chrome stack in the back, and the red paint on the cab looks relatively fresh. All we know is that we want to ride or drive in this thing when the front end is hanging a couple feet in the air!

Long live Detroit Diesel power!
