Whether you have a new project that needs some interior love, or you’ve gone to the wrecking yard in pursuit of some interior parts for your project, it always sucks when you find the right parts but in the wrong color. Or that original part is now faded, scratched, and haggard. I’ve always been hesitant to take parts and paint them because it seems like that never lasts. But in this video from Shop Tool Reviews you’ll see how to do it the right way. And boy does it look nice. I’m not going to hesitate to do this on my next interior project.

We show you how to paint interior plastic, vinyl, and leather. The center console in our 2003 Shop Truck build was in rough shape, so it’s a great testbed for painting the plastic. There are some tips that must be adhered to in order to see great and lasting results. By following a few rules, adding a few hours of labor, and a can or two of Vinyl & Fabric paint, you can make a huge difference in the way your interior looks.

Army trucks, we love them. Why? Well for the same reason we love functional hot rods that are lacking in amenities but are heavy in ass kicking ability. No matter the country of origin you are typically not going to find a lot of cushy stuff in an army truck, especially a large one.
