If you were wondering who the coolest person on Earth was recently, wonder no more. It is Don Prudhomme. The man is the epitome of cool. He’s got dough, he knows everyone, he was one of the best drag racers in history. You’ll see him at Bonneville, the US Nationals, the Indy 500, and riding around in the desert with guys like Tony Stewart and others apparently. It does not stop there, but we will. To cultivate this level of cool you have to work at it and Prudhomme did but not all on his own. Yes, some of his highest profile successes came as a team owner and racer but in his early days the kid who could drive better than all the rest was just that, a kid. Even then though, the gods of speed shone down upon him. It was the early 1960s when Tommy Greer, Keith Black, and Don Prudhomme teamed up and proceeded to beat seemingly most every dragster on planet Earth in the process.
