A Mucky Roll Over Video: Watch This Dude Turn His Mud Boggin’ Jeep Over Onto Its Lid

Image
Well look, if I was going to turn my mud bogging Jeep over onto its lid I would want to do it in the lovingly soft arms of a mud pit. Why? There’s all that bouncing and jarring and rolling that come from turning your stuff over on a trail or on a street but if you do it in the mud the Earth just kind of catches your stuff and you’re fine. The caveat here being that if the mud is deeper than the distance between your helmet and the roof you could drown but who’s thinking those dark thoughts? Not us! You are going to watch a guy in what looks to be a gutted Jeep Cherokee attacking a long and apparently winding mud pit somewhere in this great land. We’re going to take a guess and say that this event is being held in the dirty south because where else would it be, right? Anyway, the V8’s rumbling under the hood, the guy is wearing a camouflage jacket, a dirt bike helmet, and there’s lots of exposed wires. The scene is set and our hero plunges into the mire of this seemingly untamable mud ...

This Is Some Sketchy Looking Sh#t! Surfacing A Cylinder Head On A Lathe!

Image
I often fall down the rabbit hole that is YouTube and find myself watching videos of manufacturing and remanufacturing processes in other countries. Places like Asia and the Middle East often have manufacturing facilities that use incredibly crude techniques and show just how advanced US manufacturing is not only with regards to technology but also safety and working conditions. It’s interesting to see how things are done when there aren’t the “right” tools for the job. We get spoiled by the right tools and never even think about what else you’d do if you didn’t have them. With that said, and without further ado, I’m going to share a video of a cylinder head being mounted to a lathe and then spun so that the deck of it can be surfaced. Normally this head would be mounted to a table on a milling machine and then the table would slide slowly along while a fly cutter took off a few thousandths of an inch at a time until the entire surface was clean and flat. This might take a few passes,...

This 1941 Chevrolet Phillips 66 Tanker Truck Is In Incredible Condition And Can Be Yours!

Image
When I saw this thing for sale I was amazed at how nice it is, without being a restored truck. The patina is awesome, it is really straight considering how old it is, and it would be such a cool thing to have even if all it did was sit next to your shop. I love it, and if I had a bunch of money I’d own it just to park it and make it look awesome. According to the seller it actually runs, which shouldn’t surprise us given the fact that these straight six engines never seem to die. Some BANGshifter needs this one, so buy it and let us come over and make engine noises with it. Seller’s Description: 1941 Chevy tanker truck all original has its original motor that runs but needs maintenance very little rust the patina on it is amazing. Junkyard Rescue: It’s The School Bus Edition With Newbern And The Gang, Will This Thing Run?

Image
Newbern and the boys are back at it again and if you remember the last video involving his GMC Topkick then you’ll remember that there were some garage burnouts involved, plus a trip to a cool junkyard, and him making a deal on a bus because it had a Cummins in it. If you missed that one, use the link below to check it out. In this video the school bus is the target and they are going to be working to get it up and running so they can try to drive it back to the shop. What couldn’t possibly go wrong? I mean how hard can it be to make an old school bus run and drive? Thankfully, Dave knows enough to be dangerous when it comes to diesels and has friends to apparently know more than that. The plan is to make it run and drive, get it to the shop, and then swap the engine and transmission into the Topkick. We approve. Check it out. Watch What Happens When You Crash a Trophy Truck At Over 100 MPH!

Image
Trophy trucks are incredible pieces of machinery, not only because of their incredible suspension technology, but also because they have all the other race car bits you know and love in a package that has to live while hauling ass across the desert. These things do not survive in a nice simple and calm environment, so they have to be built like tanks in order to survive a normal race, let alone when something goes wrong as it did here. This truck flips 5ish times in this video and the fact that it and the passengers lived through it is amazing. Check out this video with the Brenthel brothers as they walk us through the crash, what happened to the truck during the crash, what they had to do to fix it, and how they were physically afterward. This is a cool video to watch. Video Description: In this video, we show you what happens to a Brenthel Trophy Truck after crashing at approximately 130mph! How does the truck really hold up? I think you’ll be surprised when you see these results!...
