Ridetech Can Get Your 2007-2013 GM Truck Low And Keep It Working – Yes, The Look You Want and The Functionality You Need!

Image
We all know that cars and trucks look way better when they are lowered. They handle better, they have a more dramatic look, and they are easy to hop in and out of. If there is one concern that people have, especially with trucks it’s that when you lower one, you may be compromising the thing’s ability to do work. Well, RideTech is here to tell you and SHOW you that isn’t the case with their kits for the 2007-2013 GMT 900 series rigs. This video is part tech, part install, and part explanation as to how and why the company is able to maintain the function of your truck while enhancing the driving experience and looks. For starters, you cannot be afraid of work when tackling one of these kits. They are bolt in, but there are lots of bolts, some cutting, and frankly it just takes time to get the job knocked out the proper way by the book. The result of your work is going to be a bad ass truck, but as the video so clearly shows and directly tells you, there’s going to be some elbow grease...

Plasma Cutter Buyer’s Guide – What Size Do You Need And Why? Here’s Eastwood’s Guide.

Image
In the video below, Eastwood shares their Versa-Cut 20, 40, and 60 plasma cutters and tells you how to choose the right plasma cutter for your shop or garage. The specs found here can be used to decide between other brands as well, and will give you a good starting point for choosing yours. The keys to remember when looking at buying a plasma cutter are the thickness of the material you plan to cut, the environment in which you are going to cut, and what electrical power you have available. The maximum thickness of the material you plan to cut determines the overall power of the unit you will need, but the other features depend on where and how you are going to use the machine. If you are going to be using the machine in a large area and don’t want to move the machine around inside the shop then you need to make sure you have enough cord length to get to the work piece. If you are going to be using it in a mobile environment then you need it to not weigh too much to carry. And if you ...

Make It Kustom, HalfAss Kustoms Cab Over Ramp Truck Build! The 1971 GMC Fire Truck Ramp Truck Gets A Rear Four Link And Air Ride.

Image
In this video from the collaboration Fire Truck turned Ramp Truck, where Make It Kustom and HalfAss Kustoms have gotten together to thrash on Karl’s Make It Kustom rig, you’ll see the rear get hacked and shortened for a big kick up, a big HD four link, and air ride. This thing is going to be awesome! The goal for this project is to make it run and do a burnout before Brent has to go back home to Manitoba. It’s a lot to do in just 4 days, but that’s what they are trying to make happen. That’s right, just 4 days to get the cab mounted and the tilt function working, fabricating and installing an entirely new steering system, mounting and installing the engine and transmission, cooling system, engine wiring, cab wiring, cutting the rear chassis and installing a step notch and full fabricated 4-link suspension system, and so much more. No, it won’t be a finished ride at the end of the series, but it should be able to be moved in and out of the shop under its own power so that Karl will be ...

Watch The 1984 NHRA Springnationals Right Here – Wild Doug Kerhulas Incident, Great Racing, Legends!

Image
National Trail Raceway held the NHRA Springnationals for many, many years and it was one of the biggest, most popular events on the tour. There was on downside to the facility, which was have talked about at length here over the years and that was its length. Obviously as time went on, NHRA made changes and added the gate across Refugee Rd, the additional sand trap in the neighboring house’s yard, and more. In 1984 at the NHRA Springnationals, none of that existed and Doug Kerhulas found out first hand in one of the most stunning top fuel incidents ever. The car piles into a a pair of catch nets at over 150mph and seemingly stops in about 30ft. Kerhulas was not well and took years to fully recover from this situation, which many believe killed him. It did not. He would return and race top fuel again after his long recovery. An amazing story for sure. Outside of the Kerhulas situation, there was loads of great racing in pro stock, funny car, and top fuel. Gary Beck was just straight u...

The Alfarrari Project: How To Build Your Own Dry Sump Oil Tank!

Image
In these next three videos in the series, you are going to see the dry sump oil tank go together for the Ferrari engine. While technically it’s just an oil reservoir, it’s an awfully big one and it has to be right or things will go horribly wrong in many different ways. Watch. There is so much going into building this little hot rod, and every single part of it is custom. After all, there are no kits to do this kind of thing so you have to build it all yourself if you want to do it right. Watch and be inspired to get out and do more in your garage. This is a little car, and it still has lots of little things to fix on it, but Jeff is surely knocking them out. I am really digging this one and can’t wait to see how it all turns out. I found this project on YouTube and it has been going on for a couple of years now so we need to catch up! This is Jeff, and he builds cool stuff, and he decided that he wanted to build an Alfa 105, which I have no clue about, and stuff it full of Ferrari...

Halfass Kustoms 1955 Chevrolet NAPCO 4×4 Project: Custom Dual Exhaust, And A Test Drive Even Though It’s Not Done Yet!

Image
In this latest installment of the NAPCO Clone build, Brent has exhaust going in and some buttoning up of a couple things before a test drive. It’s not finished for sure, but it might be done enough to make a little test drive down the dirt road. If you have missed any of the previous installments on this build, use the link below! NAPCO was a company that built 4-wheel drive conversion parts for domestic trucks and was founded in 1918. Although they made parts for Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, and Studebaker trucks, they are most well known for building parts for Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Starting in 1942 they offered full conversion kits that you could buy and have delivered so that you, or your local dealer, could do the conversion. In 1956 GM actually offered NAPCO conversion from the factory so you could order it and pick one up at your dealership. They are fairly rare to find now as many lived rough lives, but lots of folks want them. One such person is Brent from Halfass Kustoms who doe...
